EDS ExperienceEDS has over 22 years serving as the primary IT partner for Defense Manpower Data Center, developing and maintaining the Department of Defense's systems for issuing the standard Uniformed Services Identification (USID) card. EDS replaced the Uniformed Services ID Card with a Department of Defense-wide smart card, the Common Access Card (CAC) from ActivIdentity, to function as the official identification card and token authentication for physical and system access. To date, EDS has issued over 4 million smart cards at a rate of 10,000 a day.
