ActivClient™ is the market-leading security software from ActivIdentity® that allows business and government customers to easily use smart cards and USB tokens for a wide variety of desktop, network security and productivity applications.

ActivClient is the next generation of ActivCard® Gold™, the world’s leading smart card-based strong authentication software.

ActivClient for Windows

ActivClient is available in multiple editions for Microsoft® Windows®:

  • ActivClient – Deploy strong authentication for Windows login, VPN, dial-up, web login, thin client and remote applications, as well as data security, digital signature and secure e-mail. ActivClient supports a variety of credentials including digital certificates, passwords with SecureLogin® SSO and one-time passwords with 4TRESS™ AAA Server. ActivClient supports Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards and is FIPS 201 certified.
  • ActivClient CAC – For US Department of Defense agencies that want to use the Common Access Card (CAC) to enable strong authentication for Windows login, VPN, dial-up, web login, thin client and remote applications, as well as data security, digital signature and secure e-mail. ActivClient CAC is optimized for easy and cost-effective deployment in US DoD CAC environments.
  • Authentication Client – provides organizations with alternative methods to access Windows workstations, adding functional enhancements as well as increasing the flexibility for deployment options.

ActivClient is also available for a variety of operating systems:

  • ActivClient for Solaris – For organizations looking to deploy strong authentication for Solaris login, web login, digital signature and secure email. ActivClient for Solaris supports a variety of credentials including digital certificates, passwords, and one-time passwords with 4TRESS™ AAA Server.
  • ActivClient for Linux – Deploy strong authentication for Linux login, web login, digital signature and secure email. ActivClient for Linux supports a variety of credentials including digital certificates, passwords, and one-time passwords with 4TRESS™ AAA Server.
  • ActivClient for Mac OS X – Deploy strong authentication for Mac OS X login, web login, digital signature and secure email. ActivClient for Mac OS X enables two-factor security with digital certificates on smart cards or USB tokens.

Deployment and integration tools

ActivIdentity also provides integration tools that facilitate deployment and integration of ActivClient:

  • ActivClient SDK – Enable your own applications to leverage ActivClient for support of smart cards or USB tokens. ActivClient SDK includes a set of standard and powerful APIs to access and use the PKI keys and certificates, One-Time Passwords and static data (passwords or any kind of demographic data) on smart cards and USB tokens.
  • ActivClient Resource Kit – For IT administrators, the ActivClient Resource Kit facilitates deployment of ActivClient in each organization’s specific environment. The Resource Kit includes deployment tools and a Customization and Deployment Guide that lists all configuration options and explains how to customize and deploy ActivClient and integrate it with other products.
